What applicants and parents ask most often
What is studying at ITG like?
A broad general education, technology and progressively more room to find your own direction.
Is ITG a regular secondary school, or mainly an IT school?
We are a four-year general secondary school with a strong focus on technology. You gain a broad foundation that keeps your path open to technical, scientific, economic, humanities and other university degrees. Technology is not an end in itself here - it is a tool for understanding a rapidly changing world.
Do I already need to know how to code or want to work in IT?
No. You do not need to arrive as a programmer or know that you want to work in IT one day. What matters more is curiosity, a willingness to learn and the desire to try new things. During your studies, you will get to know different areas of technology and have the space to discover what truly interests you.
What if I do not know what I want to do yet?
That is completely normal at fifteen. First, you gain a broad foundation. In Years 3 and 4, you build 12 hours per week from our offer of ADVANCED subjects - choosing six subjects you want to explore in more depth.
What are ADVANCED subjects?
Advanced compulsory elective subjects for Years 3 and 4. They include cybersecurity, front-end development, algorithms, mathematics for neural networks, advanced biology, modern history, financial literacy and Business Communication.
Technology-focused ADVANCED subjects are often led by industry professionals, and the range can evolve as the world changes.
Why do you have four hours of Sport and Health every week?
Because education is not only what happens in your head. We have Sport and Health four hours a week in all four years. We see movement, a healthy lifestyle, the ability to overcome obstacles and manage discomfort as an important part of preparing for life.
Resilience is also built through relationships, shared experiences and community.
Can ITG be combined with elite sport?
Yes. We have experience with students who compete at an elite level, including Czech national representatives. When the conditions are met, we provide an individual study plan so studies can be combined with a demanding training and competition schedule.
Is ITG a demanding school?
We expect something from students. But this is not about performance for its own sake or needless memorisation. We want you to gradually work independently, take responsibility for your studies, handle things that do not work out the first time and know how to ask for help. The freedom you gain at ITG goes hand in hand with responsibility.
Where do ITG graduates go next?
Their choices include IT and technology, economics and management, medicine and natural sciences, social sciences, sport, architecture and media. In the 2026 graduating class survey, all 38 respondents (100%) said they wanted to continue studying after graduation. Applications went to Czech and international universities.
How does the admissions process work?
The admissions process has two parts: the standardised CERMAT entrance examination and ITG’s school entrance examination. For admission, you need at least 25 points in Czech language, 25 points in mathematics and half of the available points from the school entrance examination.
How much does studying cost?
Tuition is CZK 130,000 per school year. It includes a general education with a strong technology focus, ADVANCED subjects, involvement of industry experts, four hours of Sport and Health a week and other elements of the ITG curriculum.
Is the school in Satalice too far away?
It depends on where you are travelling from. The train ride from Prague Main Station takes 17 minutes. Satalice offers a calm setting and a campus of approximately 2 hectares that we use for learning, sport and time together.
How does the school communicate with students and parents?
For official school information, we use EduPage and email. We also use Discord for everyday communication with students.
What time do classes start?
The first lesson starts at 8:30 a.m.
