Communication

How we communicate

Not everything needs a message. If you are at school and something can be sorted out in person, come and talk to us. Handle technical issues and anything that does not need an in-person conversation online.

In person at school

Student office – Zuzka, downstairs staff room

Certificates, documents, study administration and other everyday school matters.

Your class teacher

Anything relating to your class, studies, attendance or situations that are better discussed in person.

Headteacher’s office

For matters that need the school leadership, you can come straight to the headteacher’s office. Just check the Matterhorn on the door:

  • 🌩️ Matterhorn in a storm + no climbing = please do not come in right now.
  • ☀️ Matterhorn in sunshine + climbers = you are welcome to come in and speak to the leadership team.

Online

There is no need to come in person with technical issues. Message the person responsible directly.

Microsoft 365 and the school network – Standa

Accounts, access, Wi-Fi, M365 and other IT issues → Discord.

And parents?

We communicate with parents through EduPage and email. They can also call the school office.

Everyday communication

For everyday school communication, we use Discord and EduPage.

If you are ill, post in the #omluvenky Discord channel and briefly let us know whether you would like to join lessons by video call.

Discord has channels for your class and individual subjects. You will find important information for everyone in #announcements and #hlavni.

Each sport in Monday’s Sport and Health programme also has its own channel, according to the group you have chosen.

We will not remove you from Discord after graduation. Alumni remain part of the community and have their own #alumni section.
