Cookies
What this website stores in your browser and what happens when external content loads.
What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your browser. They can support signing in, remembering a language or protecting a form. Websites can also use browser storage for similar purposes. This overview concerns the ITG website operated by 1. IT Gymnázium, s.r.o.
Functional browser storage
- Language preference –
pll_language: remembers Czech or English. It lasts up to one year. - Open Day, classroom visit and rental form protection –
school_dod_session: a random identifier connects the form to your visit and helps protect submissions. This is a session cookie without a fixed expiry date, normally lasting until the browser session ends. It contains no names or contact details from the form. - Staff sign-in: WordPress uses cookies to support signing in and managing the website. Their duration depends on the login and remember-me setting. Visitors do not need an account to read the website.
- Emoji support –
wpEmojiSettingsSupports: WordPress stores the result of its emoji display check insessionStoragefor the browser tab’s session.
Your choice and its record
Use Cookie settings to accept all, reject optional services or choose videos, maps and analytics separately. The initial panel stays open until you save a choice; the page remains scrollable. Optional services remain off until then. Settings opened later can be closed without changing your previous choice. You can reopen the settings using the button at the lower edge of the page or below.
We remember acceptance and rejection for 183 days. The website database retains a record of the choice, time, language, notice and a derived random browser key for 365 days. This record contains no IP address, name, contact details or browsing history. It is used to respect and demonstrate your choice and is accessible only to administrators. Expired records are removed by automatic daily cleanup.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
school_consent_id | Random key used to retrieve your database choice; accessible only to the server. | Browser session before a choice, then 183 days. |
school_consent_deny | Cookie and localStorage: keep optional services off while saving or after a connection failure. | Until a successful save; effective for at most 365 days. |
school_consent_sync | Brief localStorage signal telling other open tabs to refresh the choice. | Removed immediately after signalling. |
_ga, _ga_T8XMP1Z60R | Google Analytics 4: distinguish visits and sessions, only with analytics consent. | 183 days at most, without renewal on every visit; removed on withdrawal. |
Changing or withdrawing permission stops further loading and removes the embedded players and maps from this page. The school cannot erase cookies belonging to another provider’s domain; these can be removed in your browser. Withdrawal does not reverse data already received by the provider. If saving fails, optional services remain off until a choice is successfully saved.
YouTube, maps and other external content
YouTube and Vimeo players require permission for external videos; Google Maps has a separate choice. Until permission is successfully saved, the provider does not receive a request from these embeds. YouTube and map previews then load as their section approaches the viewport. The provider may receive connection details and use its own storage even before you play the video. The YouTube “nocookie” domain does not mean no data is transferred.
Providers: Google Ireland Limited (YouTube and Maps) and Vimeo.com, Inc. (Vimeo). Their policies describe purposes, storage and international transfers: Google cookies, Google privacy, Vimeo privacy. For example, Google lists NID (6 months), SOCS (13 months) and YSC (session). These examples are not a claim that every listed cookie is set in each embedded player; the set depends on the service, browser and provider account.
Ordinary links to social networks, calendars and documents open the provider’s service when clicked. The destination’s own information and settings apply there.
Analytics and consent management
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) helps us measure website visits and completed registrations or enquiries. It uses cookie identifiers and device and visit information. We do not send names, contact details or form text. Data may also be processed outside the EEA. Measurement starts only with your consent.
We measure website visits and interactions. Successful Open Day registrations, classroom visit registrations and venue enquiries are recorded separately, without form contents. Analytics consent is optional and separate from videos and maps. You can withdraw it in Cookie settings; further measurement stops and the website’s analytics cookies are removed. Withdrawal does not itself remove aggregate statistics already created. This integration does not enable Google Signals or advertising personalisation.
Google privacy policy · How Google uses data from partner websites
Google Analytics retains detailed event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. New user activity resets the user retention period. These periods do not apply to standard aggregate reports. Browser cookie lifetimes and the retention of your consent record are separate periods described on the Cookies page.
Browser settings and contact
You can inspect or delete cookies in your browser settings. Restrictions may affect signing in, language preferences or the form. Browser settings do not replace consent for optional services on this website.
