First aid at ITG: hands-on training
At ITG Gymnázium, we prepare students for the future. We know that future extends far beyond a computer screen. Part of our philosophy is to build young people's resilience for real life, including the ability to keep a cool head and help others when every second counts.
That is why we recently held an intensive first-aid course. Anyone expecting dull classroom sessions and endless notes copied from the board would have been very surprised.
Realistic scenarios planned down to the smallest detail
To help students get as much as possible from the course and truly retain their skills, we based it on realistic situations. Students practised saving lives through interactive scenarios planned down to the very smallest detail. 🚨
It was training under pressure, giving everyone firsthand experience of responding to injuries, making quick decisions and physically carrying out a rescue.
Thanks to this intensive experience, our students now have a better idea of what to do when a situation becomes serious. 💪
A huge thank you to instructor Libuše Terezie Vojtová for her excellent leadership, incredible energy and for passing on some of life's most important skills.
