We experienced an unexpected emergency drill with the firefighters!

Thick smoke in the corridors, blaring sirens and a rapid evacuation. Anyone who did not know what was happening must have felt quite an adrenaline rush. Fortunately, it was not a real fire! At ITG, we believe the best preparation for an emergency is to experience it in a realistic drill.

From theory to a real adrenaline rush

Once again, we chose learning through experience. The event was preceded by thorough theoretical preparation and excellent talks from professionals at the Prague Fire Rescue Service 👨‍🚒🚒. But let’s be honest: theory is one thing, and putting it into practice when you cannot see a step ahead in the corridor is quite another.

That is exactly why this unexpected test followed!

A top-secret operation

The entire event had been carefully planned well in advance and in complete secrecy. To test genuine reactions, most teachers, all students and even the firefighters arriving at the scene had not been told about the drill! It was a fully realistic simulation.

The outcome made us very proud. The drill clearly showed that our school runs like a well-oiled machine and that we are well prepared for situations like this. 💪
