Thomas Archer
English Native Teacher
I am an English native speaker, originally from a small town in the North West of England on
the outskirts of Manchester.
Since coming to the Czech Republic in 2014 I have spent most of my time working as an
English teacher for both primary and secondary schools, gymnasiums, and for agencies. I have
experience with CLIL and Maturita programmes.
Previously I have worked in chemical manufacturing and physical security, both locally and
internationally.
On a personal level; I love the outdoors, hiking and camping, especially wild camping with my
hammock or a bivi. I enjoy unusual martial arts; I am currently looking into Bartitsu and Purrin: a
pair of historical British martial arts. I have a keen interest in history and hope to do my degree
in 18th and 19th century European history in the near future. And I enjoy reading, roleplay and
computer games, although I rarely have time for either of the latter these days.
