I graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Czech Language and History. During my humanities studies, I learned to program and stayed with it for twenty years. I worked not only on developing applications and systems but also on managing people in the family company 1. PF. My experience in business and working with people led me to establish a secondary school where learning would be meaningful, with the strongest emphasis on understanding connections and the world we live in.

In 2021, Hospodářské noviny and CzechCrunch named me among the Czech Republic’s 20 most innovative personalities of 2020. I have travelled in countries including Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, Tanzania, India, China, Iran, Israel, the USA and Canada. In my free time I enjoy climbing, skiing, mountain hiking and ski touring, for which I also hold an instructor qualification. I have two boys aged 15 and 18. Bodie, the school dog, is also part of my life.

I studied Education and Religious Studies at the Hussite Theological Faculty of Charles University, and Jewish Studies and the History of Israel at its Faculty of Arts.

I have developed my management and leadership skills through a range of professional courses, including the international Co-Active Leadership programme in Spain and the Academy for HR Managers.

My career has naturally brought together education, senior human resources management and marketing. I originally worked as a teacher, including at the Jedlička Institute, the Institute of Educational and Psychological Counselling and Mokropsy Primary School. This teaching experience gave me a solid foundation in communication, sharing knowledge and working with people.

I then brought my experience in education into the corporate world. For fifteen years (2008-2023), I worked as an HR manager at Aurobindo, where I was responsible for comprehensive employee development, recruitment, implementing appraisal systems and designing training programmes. From 2023 to 2026, I worked as an HR business partner for the Italian multinational CRIF Czech Credit Bureau, focusing on development, recruitment and work-life balance (WLB) activities. Earlier, I also held senior marketing positions for brands including ČRo Regina, Country Radio and Rock Point.

To this day, I draw on my educational roots when working with people, focusing on practical solutions, supporting company culture and building good workplace relationships. I firmly believe that successful cooperation and people’s development are based above all on open communication, partnership, decency, respect and empathy.

In my free time, I most enjoy my family, sport, travel, reading and spending time with my dog.

I graduated in Special Education from the Faculty of Education at Charles University and completed postgraduate studies in Psychology at its Faculty of Arts. I have undertaken training in coaching, supervision and therapy, including courses in psychology, education and social work - counselling, assessment and training.

My professional experience comes from teaching Social Policy, Practice Supervision, Social Security and Career Guidance, including supervising diploma and graduation theses. I have also worked in the private sector as a coach, supervisor, vocational assessment specialist, career counsellor and therapist. In public administration, I served as an expert guarantor for ESF projects and a methodology specialist for counselling and education in employment, including work as an examination commissioner for public administration in the field of Employment.

In my personal life, I enjoy sport climbing, spinning and yoga. My guiding principles are movement and a healthy lifestyle, which are closely linked and lead to harmony of body and mind.

A note from ITG: Pavla would not say this herself, but in her youth she practised freestyle skiing and came second in the national championships in ski ballet. We simply have to mention it - it is too good to remain a secret 🙂

I studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University. I have been teaching since 2000, helping people understand mathematics, physics and statistics. I also prepare students for entrance examinations to all types of secondary schools and universities. At ITG, I teach mathematics and lead a seminar on neural networks.

I graduated in Computer Science from the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University in Brno. After my studies I worked at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague. As soon as its Faculty of Information Technology was established, I joined it as an assistant professor. I gained valuable experience designing the content and study materials for courses I taught in the faculty’s early years. I also spent three years as a software project manager. Having developed a passion for education and working with children and young people, I have also been teaching at secondary school in recent years.

My greatest interests are my family and the Opři se association, which I founded with other volunteers. Its aim is to help children from children’s homes integrate into society. It mainly organises physical activities, offers tutoring and tries to support them after they leave care. I enjoy cycling, hiking and skiing, as well as good music and theatre. I have two children aged 10 and 13.

I graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Czech Language and History Teaching for Lower and Upper Secondary Schools. During university, I took a course in antiques, worked as a guide at a medieval castle and for a restoration company, and proofread texts. When an opportunity to work in an archive came along, I could not resist. Alongside making records from the Security Services Archive accessible, my fellow archivists and I tried to show pupils and students at all levels that an archive need not be just rows of shelves with old papers in boxes: it can be living history brought closer through educational programmes and excursions. I also worked with colleagues in the IT department on projects and software that help researchers study digitised archival records.

In my free time, I am always reading something and enjoy observing the cultural life of the city - its architecture, galleries, clubs and cafés - but I also love spending quiet time in nature. I share a love of mountains and skiing with my sporty teaching colleagues.

I believe it is not necessary to remember every little thing, but to know how to find it, give it its proper weight and place it in its social context. Do not confuse facts with opinions; keep searching, weighing things up, examining and interpreting.

I graduated from Palestra College of Physical Education and Sport in Sport and Leisure Education, and from a higher vocational college of education in Preschool Education and Art Instruction for Children and Young People. I extended my teaching experience through a CLIL-focused placement for teachers in the UK, and I hold a state examination in English. I completed comprehensive crisis intervention training in 2024. I also worked as an athletics coach for beginners and younger pupils at AC Líbeznice. My other leisure activities include art-making with children, young people and adults. I see working with children and young people as a unique path of mutual growth, motivation and inspiration.

In my free time, I enjoy painting, going into nature and the mountains, and listening to music. I like cycling, running, climbing, spending time with friends and good films. I have two children aged 17 and 20, and Nera, the school dog - the larger white one 🙂

I studied a combined degree in Aesthetics and Comparative Literature (comparative and historical literary studies) at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. After graduating, I worked in education outside schools, helping to develop concepts and content for teaching and training materials. I participated in developing and delivering online courses, learning management systems and educational applications for museums, non-profit organisations, companies and schools.

I also worked as an editor at Vědavýzkum.cz, focusing on domestic and international science policy from a humanities perspective. I occasionally publish essays and reviews in literary magazines.

I am the author of the poetry collection Jindřich Jerusalem, for which I was nominated for the Jiří Orten Award (2014). I have also received awards in the Básne SK/CZ competition (2020) and the Dresden Poetry Prize (2022). I have published six regular collections so far, and my poems have appeared on several international platforms, including the anthology Nejlepší české básně (2013, 2019).

I live in Prague, but in spirit I am more at home in a small town the size of Satalice. And I still play basketball - for now.

I am someone whose home contains a slackline, an analogue camera, studies on the end of coal in the Czech Republic lying around, a surf balance board and Tibetan prayer flags - and, provided everything is not covered in a fine haze of climbing chalk, it is actually quite tidy.

I enjoy discovering everything possible and impossible. When I am not trying a new sport or travelling, I focus on policies for systemic change. I earned my master’s degree in economics at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. During my bachelor’s degree in Area Studies at Charles University, I became fascinated by Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I also spent a month conducting my own research. I earned my second bachelor’s degree at Prague University of Economics and Business. I spent a year studying economics and education at UCL in London and briefly moved to Sweden on Erasmus.

I began thinking about the world and my future work as a secondary school student in the Czech High School Union, and later at CERGE-EI at the Academy of Sciences. For three years I travelled around Europe as a non-formal educator for the Brussels-based organisation OBESSU, before joining Dan Prokop’s PAQ Research as an education analyst. I have also recently begun teaching at the Discover Summer Academy.

Right now, though, I am most looking forward to my subjects at ITG, where I want to connect digital skills with social sciences, history, geography and the world around us and its problems.

I studied Sociology at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University and International Development Studies at the Faculty of Science at Palacký University Olomouc. I enjoy discovering other cultures, hiking in the mountains and have hitchhiked through many countries with a backpack. At seventeen, I went to the USA for a year to attend high school. During university, I stayed in Pune, India, conducting research on internal migration, studied for a semester in Turin, Italy, and completed an internship in Bratislava. During the refugee crisis of 2015-2016, I volunteered in humanitarian aid in the Balkans and Greece. I described this experience in the documentary prose book Berkasovo.

I have published numerous articles on travel and development, short stories and columns for Nový prostor magazine. Alongside my book about helping refugees, I have published a poetry collection and a collection of short plays, Absurdní dramata a minidialogy. I enjoy taking photographs on my travels and have spent several years working on the experimental photography series Svět v odrazech. I have been a Scout since the age of ten and spent several years helping to lead a boys’ troop. Ecumenical initiatives such as the Taizé community and the Karavana arts collective inspire me.

I am not a fan of cramming long lists of encyclopaedic facts. What matters most to me is knowing how to work with information, think about it critically and look for wider connections.

I completed doctoral studies in Zoology at the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University in Brno. After my studies, I worked in the Nature Conservation Department at the headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate, where I was responsible for species protection and GMOs. I then worked at the State Environmental Fund, providing advice on grants. Subsequently, I completed the Učitel naživo programme for future teachers, alongside a teaching qualification at Charles University. After completing these programmes, I taught at a primary school in Zeleneč near Prague.

I graduated from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague. After graduation, my career developed in chemistry and pharmaceuticals, where I worked for almost 15 years. While still working in pharmaceuticals, I began teaching and training. I supplemented my expertise by passing the authorised examination for the professional qualification of Adult Education Trainer, and subsequently graduated in Chemistry Teaching for Secondary Schools from the Faculty of Education at Charles University.

My interest in science and education led me to move entirely from pharmaceuticals into education. Since 2015, I have taught physics and chemistry, encouraging my students to look at the world with curiosity and to want to discover and understand the fundamental principles behind what happens around us. I continually develop my teaching skills and look for the best ways to share my enthusiasm for the subject with students. I completed the two-year Practical Heuristic Physics Teaching project organised by the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University and the Depositum Bonum Foundation, and the “Learn to Teach” programme (ČSTPMJ). My professional background helps me select essential information and connect it more closely with practical applications.

Education is both my work and a hobby. I am a certified Level I memory trainer and a member of ČSTPMJ, and I occasionally organise memory training courses for seniors in my free time.

I have two sons and relax by painting.

I am a native English speaker, originally from a small town in north-west England on the outskirts of Manchester.

Since arriving in the Czech Republic in 2014, I have spent most of my time working. I teach English at primary and secondary schools, grammar schools and for language agencies. I have experience with CLIL and Maturita programmes.

Previously, I worked in chemical manufacturing and physical security, both locally and internationally.

I love nature, hiking and camping, especially wild camping with a hammock or bivvy. I also enjoy unusual martial arts. I currently practise Bartitsu and Purrin, two historical British martial arts. I am very interested in history and hope to complete my studies in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century European history in the near future. I enjoy reading, role-playing and computer games, although unfortunately I rarely have time for my hobbies.

I am a native Spanish speaker from Chile with more than ten years of teaching experience.

During my career, I have taught at secondary schools, language institutes and even a university in Santiago de Chile. Since 2017, I have lived in Prague, where I continue to teach both privately and in academic settings.

My passion for languages, communication and cultural exchange shapes my approach to teaching. I believe in creating a positive, dynamic environment in which students feel motivated and confident in their language skills.

Outside teaching, I enjoy travelling, exploring nature and immersing myself in music.

I graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Combat Sports and Coaching. I have been teaching for almost 20 years. I first taught at a primary school for nine years and have taught at secondary school ever since. I try to motivate every student to be physically active, regardless of their starting level.

Alongside teaching at school, I also work as a coach. I am a boxing coach and fitness instructor, leading classes ranging from Body Pump and TRX to dynamic circuit training.

I most enjoy spending my free time with my daughter or being active outdoors. I favour seasonal sports practised independently - mainly running and cycling in summer, and ski touring in winter. Sport is a way of life for me, and I try to bring that into my lessons too.

I graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where I am now pursuing a PhD and working on various related projects. Alongside my doctorate, I focus on programming in the Internet of Things, covering a whole range of tools from hardware to the cloud.

Teaching and tutoring have been part of my life since primary school. Being named the best student at my primary school, grammar school and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU led other students to turn to me for help with their studies.

During my studies, I also placed among the top competitors in regional mathematics and physics competitions several times and was selected for national mathematics and physics training camps. In my free time, I devote a great deal of time to dancing and teaching dance. My focus on the “ten dances” - five Latin American and five ballroom dances - means spending time on the dance floor almost every day.

Besides dancing, I enjoy discovering new things and travelling.

I graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague and have worked for major technology companies including Systinet, Ariba SAP and Unicorn. I founded the startup studio TopMonks and am behind projects such as Price f(x). I enjoy finding new paths in business and life, often going against established patterns.

I have been active in the IT community for many years. I currently teach IT and Software Projects at the school. Under my guidance, ITG students devise and develop real IT projects - from the initial idea through validation to a working solution. My aim is to share practical professional experience and teach them to think as creators, rather than simply carrying out assignments.

My personal philosophy draws on Taoism, an emphasis on personal growth and continual learning. Ultrarunning is also an important part of my life, which I see as a tool for self-reflection and mental resilience.

Alongside business, I give talks, make podcasts (CZPodcast), and organise community and educational activities, for example through Wisephora. I enjoy connecting people, technology and ideas that have the potential to change the world for the better.

I am a Microsoft Certified Trainer qualified to teach eleven courses, with more than twenty years of experience in IT education for adults.

I wrote my first code in 1986 on an IQ151 computer in Basic. I have been teaching IT to adults for over twenty years. I started with technologies such as MS DOS and Windows 3.1. I now work at Microsoft as a customer trainer. I have also been a volunteer trainer at Czechitas for many years.

My love of cooking went so far that a few years ago I trained as a chef through distance learning. Besides cooking for my family, I cook at community IT events, where I also give talks. And yes, I have cooked for the school’s students too.

I work on investigations in cyberspace, cyberattacks and IT forensic procedures. I have ten years of experience in this field. As part of IT teaching, I prepare cybersecurity topics, and my lessons are highly practical and illustrative.

External specialist, humanities curriculum co-author, lecturer in finance and financial literacy

I graduated in Finance and have spent my entire twenty-year career so far in banking. I currently work as Chief Operating Officer at HSBC’s Czech corporate banking branch in Prague. Previously, among other roles, I led Risk Management at the Czech branch of Credit Agricole. Preparing crisis scenarios is part of my work, and I always want a backup plan for everything - preferably several.

I actively engage in mentoring and personal development, with an emphasis on mental health and work-life balance. My husband, children and I spend our free time actively in the mountains and on the water, usually in the company of wonderful friends.

During 25 years of training professionals in business communication and soft skills, and implementing and communicating major corporate changes, I have worked with board members and production staff, groups of more than 100 people and individuals, in banking, insurance, mining and metallurgy.

Training is both my profession and my passion - I have led more than 10,000 workshops and worked with over 30 organisations. Since 2022, I have held certification in top executive coaching and have completed 300 hours of coaching so far.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my large family and dogs, running, swimming, going on trips and “stealing” moments to read books on neuroscience and applied or positive psychology.

I completed a master’s programme in Security Management in Public Administration at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic.

During my university studies, I temporarily worked at a sports agency and taught at both primary and lower secondary level. After graduating, I entered the private sector as an HR officer at a security agency. In 2015, while on parental leave, I founded the clothing brand Jakomama.cz with my sister, and I still work on it today. Over the past 10 years, setting up the business has given me a wealth of new and interesting experience in different fields, leading me to develop my skills in social media, website management and marketing.

I have two school-age children. We live in a small village near Sázava, but I regularly commute to Prague during the week for work and to see relatives. I consider my work my main hobby, as much of it is very creative. I love fashion, dance, music, theatre, films and TV series, and I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family.

I graduated from Palestra College of Physical Education and Sport in Physical Education and Sport Management. While on parental leave, I completed a one-year Nutrition Specialist programme. I continue to learn; most recently, I qualified as an instructor in health-oriented physical education and completed training to teach TRX and CrossFit.

Sport is not just my work, but also a great passion and a way of life. I gradually began exploring yoga and relaxation techniques too. I am becoming more interested in my body, trying to listen to it and give it a balance of movement and rest. I enjoy learning new things and developing further, both in sport and in my personal life.

I try to share the joy of movement with children and adults. My family, listening to music and travelling are my main sources of energy - Spain is a favourite destination.

I graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Primary School Teaching. For several years, I taught across primary and lower secondary levels, specialising in physical education. During my studies, I qualified as a swimming and skiing instructor and as a first-aid officer for children’s residential activities.

For many years, I led groups at Bulovka University Hospital’s summer camps and ran sports and creative clubs for younger primary school children.

I love yoga and good food. In my free time, I enjoy sport, walking in forests and learning new skills.
