I graduated from the Faculty of Education in Ústí nad Labem and spent eight years working as a primary school teacher. Later, I decided to make a change and began working as a methodology specialist and trainer. I participated in the development and management of innovative educational projects.

Together with my husband, we founded the company Gusto Energy, which operates in a completely different technical field – the design and production of technological switchboards, industrial machine automation, and the implementation of IoT technologies. I consider this period outside the education sector to be one of the most enriching for my professional and personal growth.

The impulse to return to the teaching profession came through my collaboration with the network of private elementary schools Heuréka, where I worked for several years as a principal. Being part of the creation of the 1. IT Gymnazium represents a natural culmination of all my previous experience – combining pedagogy, innovation, and technology.

Since 2014, I have been cooperating with AFS. As a host family, we have welcomed students from Chile, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, and Hungary for stays ranging from three to ten months. I am an active member of the Okrášlovací spolek Rašín and an enthusiastic caravanner. I have two adult children, one dog, and a fluctuating number of cats.
